The Roy L. Whistler International Award in Carbohydrate Chemistry

The Roy L. Whistler International Award in Carbohydrate Chemistry was established in 1984 to o acknowledge scientists who have made significant contributions to the fields of carbohydrate chemistry and biochemistry, and who show promise in continuing to make such contributions.

We are honoured to announce that Prof. Dr. Todd L. Lowary will receive this award at the opening ceremony of the 32nd International Carbohydrate Symposium on 5 July 2026.

The ICO Young Researcher Award

This award has been created aiming to recognize young researchers for their outstanding contributions in carbohydrate chemistry and glycobiology, encouraging them to pursue the excellence.

We are delighted to announce Dr. Daniel Bojar, Associate Professor in Bioinformatics within the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Gothenburg, is the winner of the ICO Young Investigator Award in 2026.
